Judy toby jug produced by William Machin circa 1890. From the popular English puppet show Punch and Judy Judy is the wife of Punch. She asks Punch for help with their baby and generally tries to keep him out of trouble. This Judy toby jug is a pair with a Punch toby jug. The jug is impressed "Rd No 139844" which dates the registration of the design to 1889.
