John Sparks toby jug - England 1979

John Sparks toby jug produced in England in a 1979 limited edition of 40. Dr. Feelgood's bassist during their glory years was John B. Sparks who rendered supportive pocket passages which fortified the frantic performances of Wilko and Brilleaux. Sparks was a heavy-handed plectrum player working a Gibson Ripper and/or Fender Precision. His passages quoted the Willie Dixon school of bass - "keep it simple, keep it solid." Designed by Terry Kimble, the Dr. Feelgood Set celebrates the release of the band's Let It Roll album in 1979.
