Gentleman Toby jug produced by Jean Gille of Paris, France, circa 1850. This standing Gentleman Toby is wearing his best aristocratic finery consisting of full-length coat breeches vest and tri-corn hat. He has his left hand in a pocket of his coat and right hand at his chest. His long hair forms the handle of the pitcher. He has a bisque finish with matte colors.
