American Toby Jug Museum 

Fireman toby jug produced by Bairstow Manor Pottery of Hanley, England, circa 1990. A fireman, or firefighter, is a first responder and rescuer extensively trained in firefighting, primarily to extinguish hazardous fires that threaten life, property, and the environment as well as to rescue people and in some cases or jurisdictions also animals from dangerous situations. This toby jug is a part of the Staffordshire Character Jugs Series.
