Doctor Who #7 character jug produced by Bovey Pottery of Devon, England, in a 1976 limited edition of 100. "Doctor Who" is a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The series depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human and explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. With various companions, the Doctor combats foes, works to save civilizations, and helps people in need. Doctor Who #7 is portrayed by Scottish actor Sylvester McCoy. The Seventh Doctor started out as a comical character, engaging in dundrearyisms, playing the spoons, and making pratfalls, but later started to develop a darker nature.
