Doctor Watson tiny character jug modeled by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in a 1995 limited edition of 2,500 commissioned by Lawleys By Post. From the world of Sherlock Holmes comes Dr. John H. Watson, the eager associate of Holmes and his assistant in solving many intriguing mysteries. Watson is a medical man of some experience. He served in the military in Afghanistan before being discharged following an injury received in the line of duty. Watson is portrayed as a capable and brave individual; his intelligence serves as a foil to Holmes' insight. Watson occasionally attempts to solve crimes on his own, using Holmes' methods; however, because he is not endowed with Holmes' almost superhuman ability to focus on the essential details of the case, he meets with limited success. As Holmes remarks, "Quite so... you see, but you do not observe." A revolver forms the handle of this jug.
