Devil character jug - Skellramics circa 2010

Devil character jug produced by Skellramics of Granada Hills, California, circa 2010. The devil is the personification of evil as it is conceived in various cultures and religious traditions. He is seen as the objectification of a hostile and destructive force. Jeffrey Burton Russell states that the different conceptions of the devil can be summed up as a principle of evil independent from God, an aspect of God, a created being turning evil (such as a fallen angel), and a symbol of human evil. The Devil's horn-tipped tail forms the handle of the jug.
