Charles Darwin character jug produced in England circa 1910. This jug depicts Charles Darwin as a well dressed monkey. It is a political commentary on his Theory of Evolution that was panned and mocked in the early 20th century. The jug has an impressed 86 mark and is stamped "Rd No 526356" which dates the registration of the design to 1908.
