Ashanti face pot - Kevin Francis 2002

Ashanti face pot in a tan coat produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2002 limited edition of 350. The lion is a large cat of the genus Panthera native to Africa and India. It has a muscular, broad-chested body; short, rounded head; round ears; and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. Adult male lions are larger than females and have a prominent mane. It is a social species, forming groups called prides consisting of a few adult males, related females, and cubs. The lion is an apex and keystone predator. A rare black lion and alpha male, Ashanti lives up to his reputation and face pot quote as "Lord of the Night".
