Albert Sagger The Potter candle snuffer - Royal Doulton 2004

Albert Sagger The Potter candle snuffer designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in 2004. Albert Sagger has years of experience working in the pottery industry and his superb skills are well displayed in the vase he is carrying from the kiln. Wearing a long apron over the traditional linen smock, he carefully monitors and adjusts the kiln temperature to ensure the striking effects he desires in the fired pots. Albert is a cheerful chap. He is married to Jennifer, and they have six children. Thanks to Albert, the Doultonville Pottery has earned a widespread reputation for producing high quality ware. A sagger is a refractory clay container placed in a kiln to protect the fragile pottery from the atmospheric variations in old bottle kilns.
