Queen of Spades stoneware ash tray modeled by Harry Simeon and produced by Royal Doulton of Lambeth, England, between 1924 and 1929.  The Queen of Spades was the highest ranking card in the game and was often used as a symbol of power and wealth.  In modern day, the Queen of Spades still holds a lot of power and mystery.  She is often seen as a dark force, or even evil.  However, she can also be a force for good.  In early French playing card designs, the Queen of Spades was originally the Greek goddess, Pallas Athena.  Standing 4" tall, the Queen of Spades is part of a set along with the King of Clubs, Jack of Hearts and Queen of Diamonds.
