This is an early Staffordshire Ordinary Toby Jug.  It is called Wood-style because it is made in the style of potter Ralph Wood, but can only be attributed to one of the handful of talented potters working in Staffordshire around 1780.  Featuring highly detailed modeling and beautiful colors of blue, yellow and brown, this jug is an excellent example of early Toby Jug production.  Standing around 10" tall, he is in excellent condition for his age with only minor wear and no major condition issues.
