Produced in Staffordshire England circa 1800, the Drunken Parson, also known at The Sinner or Doctor Johnson, has obviously had too much to drink.  He is attempting to pour more ale into his glass with little success, and is leering to one side with his tri-corn hat askew.  The design is attributed to Enoch Wood.  The Drunken Parson is wearing his black clergy cloak and white cravat.  This jug stands over 7 inches tall and is in great condition for its age with a bit of paint wear and no serious condition issues.
